There is an inherent artistic boldness with the possibilities of self-learning that digital creation entails. We want to create living images that do not represent existing beings, but speculate realities that only exist in those interpretable images which are subjected to abstraction. We are inspired by the inter-species speculation of flowers and insects, combining species with one another and exploring the possibilities that AI gives us, guiding us toward unexpected places. “With technology, we express sensations that allude to speculative and complex dreamlike ecologies, inspired by our Latin American environment, that give space to the interpretation of other realities. Reel by by duo ’s (Sebastian and Constanza) work explores generative processes for audiovisual creation, through composition of electronic music, live coding of visuals and music and image-video synthesis with AI.
